Restocked!
Restocked! This week: SYLM in black & mil green (short & long sleeve), FROM ABOVE in heather grey & white, M4 BUILD in charcoal and, finally, the AK BUILD t-shirt in charcoal.
Next week SPRAY & PRAY, DEFENDERS (in black only), and B-CLIP (in cardinal & black) will be restocked. Look out for that notification if you are on the email list.

New Prices & Changes to the BRD Store
First, please note pricing on t-shirts has changed on the BRD website in order to not undercut the retailers that are currently carrying the brand, namely, EVIKE and ZOO Tactical.
Secondly, BRD is proud to announce that the brand will be sold through ZOO Tactical as of today. Following is ZOO Tac's mission statement:
Zoo Tactical was created by the founders of Shooter Zoo based out of Californa, USA. Carrying everyday lifestyle apparel from some of your favorite brands for the sporting arm enthusiast. Uniting quality brands and distinguished products to one site. I guess you can call us an “Everyday Carry Site.”
Final notes. BLK RFL DIV has been something I've wanted to do for years and I've poured all my energy & the limited resources I personally had into it. Lately, there has been little time to shoot, do blog posts, or illustrate/design, and by working more closely with the aforementioned retail outlets I hope to free up my time to do more in regard to keeping the brand going and to shoot more! I don't think I've ever heard anyone say running a small business is easy, but running a small business, having a full-time job, and raising a child definitely is a lot of work.
A personal note to all the customers and people who have supported BRD, I cannot thank you enough for taking a chance with an unknown brand. You chose to because the brand is not based off of an artificial advertising campaign, it is entrenched within the shooting community and it is about standing for something. I and all of you stand for the 2nd Amendment, the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, we stand for freedom and for our great Country.

Veterans Day 2015
My father-in-law seldom talks about his time in Vietnam, but I always ask questions. About a year ago he shared some slides he had converted to digital files and, with his permission, I am sharing those images forgotten in time, but not in the minds of the men who were there, with you today. Following is some information he shared with me along with the slides:
"I served in the Army from Sep. 1966 to Aug. 1970. I enlisted in the U.S. Army Security Agency (ASA) for 4 years active duty. The ASA was a branch of the Army; however, I was under the Department of Defense instead of Dept. of the Army. Our parent organization was the National Security Agency (NSA). The ASA was not supposed to be in Vietnam, so when my orders for Vietnam came, I was transferred to the 509th Radio Research Group, Saigon, which was made up entirely of ASA personnel. That was one way to get around it, I guess. I ended up in the 335th Radio Research Company (RRC), supporting the 9th Infantry Division. I spent 3 months in the field in support of the 2nd Brigade of the 9th east of Xuan Loc along Highway 1 and about 7 months with the 3rd Brigade of the 9th as part of the Mobile Riverine Force operating in the Mekong Delta. It was the only joint Army and Navy unit in existence. Since I couldn't wear my ASA shoulder patch in Vietnam, I wore the 9th Infantry Div. patch. I spent my last 2 years of service in the U.S. and wore both patches on my uniforms. The ASA unit patch was worn on the left shoulder denoting my current unit and the 9th Inf. Div. patch on the right shoulder, denoting a past unit I served with. You could only display unit patches on the right shoulder if you served with that unit under combat conditions. In 1977, the ASA was combined with several other intelligence groups and became the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). "
